Diagnosis and Management of Nasal Septal Abscess: A Case Report

Nasal septal abscess is a accumulation of pus or pus between the cartilage with the mucoperichondrium or hard bone with the mucoperiosteum lining it as a result of complications of untreated septal hematoma. The incidence of nasal septum is very rare with an annual incidence of only 10 cases. Nasal septal abscess cases are more often found at an early age and men. This is probably related to the level of activity and a person's aggressiveness to experience trauma. The diagnosis of nasal septal abcess based on history, physical examination, and examination. This septal abscess is also an emergency in the field of rhinology because it can cause intracranial complications that can cause high mortality. We report a case of a 29-year-old woman diagnosed with septal abscess who was treated with adequate antibiotics.
