Holistic Management Of A 63 Year Old Woman With Hypertension And Dyspepsia Through A Family Medicine Approach In The Work Area Of Natar Public Health Center

Hypertension is defined as a systolic pressure of 130 or higher, or a diastolic pressure of 80 or higher, which remains high over time. Dyspepsia refers to a collection of symptoms associated with the upper gastrointestinal tract. This case report aims to explore the risk factors, clinical aspects, and management strategies carried out on the patient, based on a problem-solving approach emphasizing the patient-centered principle and involving the role of the family. The primary data collection involved structured medical interviews, comprehensive physical assessments, and domiciliary visits. Evaluation was conducted using a holistic diagnostic approach encompassing the initiation, progression, and conclusion of the study. A 63-year-old female patient was diagnosed with hypertension and dyspepsia. The patient did not know that with healthy living efforts, her disease could be controlled. The results showed better understanding of her condition, accompanied by observable modifications in health-related behaviors after holistic, patient-centered, family-oriented, and community-oriented management in accordance with the latest studies and theories.
